The watch had a few defects. The clasp that holds the front and back covers down barely did the job and it was obvious that in a short time it wouldn't hold the covers in place at all. Worse yet, the watch was loosing minutes per hour. Yes, I kept it properly wound by winding it a 8am in the morning and again 8pm at night. Kept it for two weeks and finally decided to return it because it couldn't keep accurate time.
This watch was a bit thicker than I had expected and a bit heaver too, but that was alright, just keep in mind how big it really is. Also, I prefer to have the 12 O'clock position be 90 counter-clockwise from where you set the time and wind it. This time piece has the 12 O'clock position directly below the winding stem. I had never really noticed that some pocket watches come this way. Be aware.
As for me, I will visit a jewelry store next time to pick a time piece. I was going to live with the position of the 12 O'clock and the larger than expected size and even the flimsy claps, but when it can't keep time somewhat accurately... I had to return it. I won't take another chance on Charles-Hubert watches again.

Very good timepiece for the price. Highly recommend this as a gift or for the collector. Keeps great time and have gotten many compliements. You can't go wrong with this one.

Hello out there I have bought this watch as I love clock work, at first glance the watch may seem unremarkable but upon further inspection it is beautiful the detail is remarkable and my first impression is it is a well made item. There may be flaws but the watch I recieved has none so far. There is only one defect I noticed straight away and that is that the roman numeral number 4 is incorrect it is not IIII as you cannot have more than three I's in one number it is infact IV meaning one before five (V). I would also like to commend Amazon.com on there superb delivery of the watch and impecable handeling, Thnakyou Amazon!

This is a beautiful watch and very well made. Since it is a wind watch, you do not have to worry about running out of battery. Plus, there is a lifetime guarantee on all of its moving parts. This is a great product!

I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas... I think it is his most favorite present ever. The quality is beyond exelent. The watch keeps perfect time, he treasures it above all in his collection. Truely great!
